The Southeastern Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the McClain Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Southeastern didn't have quite enough to beat Huntington and fell 3-2. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Huntsmen recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Kylie Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Southeastern saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jade Turner, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when McClain faced off against Paint Valley on Tuesday. The Tigers walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Bearcats. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
McClain also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Hayley Worthen gave up just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks.
On the hitting side, Brie Cummins was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Wise, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Southeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for McClain, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
McClain's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Southeastern has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for McClain, though, as they've been averaging only 3.3 strikeouts. Will Southeastern keep running through batters, or will the Tigers buck the trend?
