The Edinburgh Lancers will head out on the road to square off against the Crothersville Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Edinburgh is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
Edinburgh scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Friday. They strolled past Morristown with points to spare, taking the game 72-54.
It was another big night for Connor Ramey, who almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine assists. Another player making a difference was Eli Smith, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Crothersville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 50-42 to Rising Sun. Crothersville has struggled against the Shiners recently, as their match last Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tymir Cromwell, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. Adam Turner was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Edinburgh now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Crothersville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Edinburgh have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Crothersville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 21.2 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything came up roses for Edinburgh against the Tigers when the teams last played back in March of 2022 as the team secured a 81-46 win. Does Edinburgh have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
