Wausau West was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mukwonago Indians.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mukwonago to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Erin Mierow, who  had 11  digs. That's the most  digs  Mierow has posted since back in November of 2024.  Amanda Esmeier was another key player,  getting 12 assists and six  digs.
Wausau West's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mukwonago,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-2.
 Coming up, Wausau West will face off against Newman at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Mukwonago, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season  when they go up against Oconomowoc  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The  matchup will  give the Indians their first taste of in-conference action this season.
