After flying high against the Northern Durham Knights last Friday, the East Chapel Hill Wildcats came back down to earth. East Chapel Hill took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jordan on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to East Chapel Hill of the 43-36 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
East Chapel Hill's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Stephanie Proa?o, who scored seven points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Steiner, who scored 15 points.
East Chapel Hill has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Jordan, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
East Chapel Hill will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillside at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Hillside focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Friday. As for Jordan, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverside-Durham at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverside-Durham is coming into the game with three straight defeats at home, meaning Jordan will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
