The Wickenburg Wranglers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 44-37 to Bourgade Catholic. Wickenburg has struggled against Bourgade Catholic recently, as their match on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Bourgade Catholic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Juliet Botiller out in front who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Botiller has scored at least a third of Bourgade Catholic's points. Another player making a difference was Kyra Williams, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds.
Wickenburg has not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Bourgade Catholic, they pushed their record up to 8-10 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Chino Valley the next time they take the court. Bourgade Catholic will head out to face Chino Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Wickenburg will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
