The Chowchilla Tribe will square off against the Hanford West Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Chowchilla sitting on 11 straight victories and Hanford West on five.
Chowchilla is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Dinuba a 9-0 shutout. Considering the Tribe have won 19 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The result came thanks to Heaven Moore's shutout, as she gave up just eight hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Ava Diaz and Rylee Vlot did most of the damage at the plate: Diaz went 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double, while Vlot went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Kasey Vlot was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Chowchilla hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in 19 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Hanford West posted their closest win since April 10th on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Kerman, sneaking past 7-5.
Hanford West let Emma Guzman and Karmen Vazquez run wild. Guzman went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Vazquez got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Adyson Owens, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Chowchilla's victory bumped their record up to 21-6-1. As for Hanford West, their win bumped their record up to 17-13.
Chowchilla couldn't quite finish off Hanford West in their previous matchup back in March and fell 2-0. Can the Tribe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
