The Salinas Cowboys will head out on the road to face off against the Hollister Haybalers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Salinas' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
Salinas' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They didn't even let Everett Alvarez on the board, marking the Cowboys' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Cowboys in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.
Abi Jones was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Salinas got a massive performance out of Jaslyne Coronado, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave Coronado a new career-high. Gigi Rossi was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Salinas kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Hollister earned a 6-1 victory over Palma on Monday.
Eliana Hatchett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Grace Peffley was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Galindo, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.
Salinas pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Hollister, their record now sits at 13-9.
Hollister's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Salinas has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Hollister, though, as they've been averaging only 3.9 strikeouts. Will Salinas keep running through batters, or will the Haybalers buck the trend?
Salinas skirted past Hollister 2-1 in their previous meeting back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cowboys since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
