Basketball Recap: Manti Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

If Delta wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Manti, they should've done a better job of containing Dax Anderson. The Manti Templars secured a 73-68 W over the Delta Rabbits on Wednesday thanks in part to Anderson, who went 11 for 17 en route to 30 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Mason, who posted six points and three steals. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played.

Delta lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bronco Bundy, who earned 17 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Tate Topham, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 15 points and seven boards.

Manti's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10. As for Delta, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-7.

When Manti and Delta next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Manti will face off against Richfield and their seven-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Manti is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Delta will try to stop Emery's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
