The Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Frazier 53-31. This was payback for Chartiers-Houston, who suffered a 64-60 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Frazier still got an impressive performance from Dailan Mcmanus, who scored 16 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Brock Alekson, who scored three points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks.
Frazier struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Chartiers-Houston's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Frazier, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Chartiers-Houston will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Cherry knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 games -- so hopefully the Buccaneers like a good challenge. As for Frazier, they will square off against the Mighty Mikes at TBD on Friday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Carmichaels and three for the Commodores.
