Bre Clark spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 18 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Laela Kern was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Justice Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.
Arnold hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Choctawhatchee struck out 18 times.
Meanwhile, Fort Walton Beach entered their tilt with Rickards on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Raiders. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Rilyn Douglas made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Douglas was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Alyx Hall was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Anna Beyhl also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Fort Walton Beach's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Arnold has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Fort Walton Beach, though, as they've been averaging only 3.9 strikeouts. Will Arnold keep running through batters, or will the Vikings buck the trend?
Arnold came out on top in a nail-biter against Fort Walton Beach in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, sneaking past 7-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Marlins since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
