Laconia hasn't had much luck against Kingswood recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Sachems will challenge the Knights at 4:00 p.m. Laconia will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Thursday, Laconia beat Milford 10-5.

Kaydence Stinson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Kaitlyn Durfee was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Cotnoir, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Laconia hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Kingswood made sure to put some runs up on the board against Plymouth on Friday. The Knights never let the Bobcats get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won eight in a row.
Kingswood got a massive performance out of Miley B, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI B has posted since back in April. Cassidy L also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Laconia's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Kingswood, their record now sits at 10-4.
Laconia suffered a grim 19-2 defeat to Kingswood when the teams last played back in April. Can the Sachems avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
