Lakewood's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Dyani Parrish, who scored seven points along with two steals, and Tessa Sanders who scored two points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lakewood struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Ralston Valley was led to victory by Sammi Madden and Santana Sabus. Madden scored 11 points along with five assists and two steals, while Sabus scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Mia Alfaro was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Lakewood's defeat was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-18. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.5 points per game. As for Ralston Valley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakewood will take on Chatfield at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakewood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 189th, while Chatfield is ranked 45th). As for Ralston Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Columbine at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ralston Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 249 points over their last four matchups.
