On Saturday, the Sparks Railroaders's game was all tied up 12-12 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Coral Academy of Science - Reno by a score of 30-24 (the very same score they lost by the week prior). That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sparks also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Sparks found their leader in underclassman Bailey Hunden, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jacqueline Cabada, who scored 6 points.
Coral Academy of Science - Reno's loss came despite strong showings from Ashleen Kaur and Kailyn Damasco. Kaur scored 11 points along with 6 steals, while Damasco scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds. Kaur is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
The victory got Sparks back to even at 2-2. As for Coral Academy of Science - Reno, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Dayton the next time they take the court. Coral Academy of Science - Reno will head out to face Dayton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Sparks will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on December 15th.
