Basketball Recap: Tarrant's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Dora came into Monday's game looking for another win against Tarrant, but Zarriyah Carter wouldn't allow it. The Tarrant Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Dora Bulldogs 65-29 thanks in part to Carter, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 boards. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points.

When it comes to explaining why Dora lost, don't look at Bella Reese. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. Reese is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 40 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Ja'Laya Harris, who posted 13 points.

Tarrant's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7. As for Dora, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Tarrant won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Carver Birmingham at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dora, they and Jasper will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Dora is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season.
