Pepperell has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Trion Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Pepperell strolled past Praise Academy with points to spare, taking the game 57-40.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pepperell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landon Lockwood, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Jai Dowdy, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Trion put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past Spring Garden with a 52-46 victory.
Pepperell pushed their record up to 4-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Trion, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
Pepperell came up short against Trion when the teams last played back in February, falling 59-52. Can Pepperell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
