Softball Recap: Satellite Wins Going Away Against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy

Satellite made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Scorpions blew past the Tigers 13-1 on Thursday. Considering the Scorpions have won nine matches by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Stella Capps looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Karalyn Webb, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Michaella Gaskins, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Satellite was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy only posted a batting average of .158.

The victory made it two in a row for Satellite and bumps their season record up to 12-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Coming up, Satellite will venture away from home to take on Vero Beach at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, they will welcome St. Mary's at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
