The Bishop Kelly Knights will head out to challenge the Nampa Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Nampa took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Bishop Kelly, who comes in off a win.
Bishop Kelly barely beat Vallivue the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Falcons on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won seven in a row.
While Bishop Kelly won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 25-21.

Bishop Kelly's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Bella Bail, who had 14 digs and two aces, and Caroline Monahan, who had 18 digs and two assists. Those 18 digs gave Monahan a new career-high.
They weren't the only good servers: Bishop Kelly was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Nampa came up short against Middleton on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost nine in a row.
While Nampa was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-9, 25-23.
The win got Bishop Kelly back to even at 9-9. As for Nampa, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.
Everything went Bishop Kelly's way against Nampa when the teams last played back in September, as Bishop Kelly made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
