The Dublin Coffman Shamrocks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Westland 98-59 at home. With Dublin Coffman ahead 49-25 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Despite the loss, Westland had strong showings from Sir Gathings, who scored 21 points, and Noah Kershaw, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gathings has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Breaker Heller Jr., who scored four points along with six assists.
The win got Dublin Coffman back to even at 8-8. As for Westland, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dublin Coffman will challenge the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Ohio (Hilliard Davidson is ranked 169th, while the Shamrocks are ranked 144th). Westland will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. New Albany is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 11 games.
