The Boardman Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They fell to Harding 47-41. Boardman has struggled against Harding recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Boardman's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Nico Holzschuh, who scored ten points, and Grayson Eicher who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Ny Coleman was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds for Harding. Coleman also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Sampson, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Boardman's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-9. As for Harding, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Boardman will be playing at home against Howland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harding, they will head out on the road to face off against Canfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canfield is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.
