The Henderson County Colonels will venture away from home to take on the Daviess County Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Henderson County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Henderson County will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Saturday, then bounced right back against Webster County on Monday. The Colonels blew past the Trojans 10-0. The win continues a trend for the Colonels in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won nine in a row.
Anna Kemp made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Kemp was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other pitching news, Henderson County got a great performance from Ava Eblen as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Eblen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Daviess County challenged Floyd Central on Monday. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Jaguars 13-11. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.
Henderson County pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Daviess County, their record now sits at 19-4.
Henderson County was able to grind out a solid victory over Daviess County when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 7-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colonels since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
