Basketball Recap: Damarae Dosela and Michael Olivar Secure Win for Fort Thomas

Fort Thomas won the last time they faced Hayden and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Fort Thomas Apaches walked away with a 51-41 win over the Hayden Lobos. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Apaches.

Leading Fort Thomas to victory were Michael Olivar and Damarae Dosela. Olivar posted 17 points along with seven boards and three steals, while Dosela dropped a double-double on 11 points and 19 rebounds. Olivar's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Justin Olivar was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Fort Thomas was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hayden only racked up four assists.

When it comes to explaining why Hayden lost, don't look at Mario Hong. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Paul Gaither, who put up nine points.

Fort Thomas now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Hayden, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Fort Thomas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-47 victory against Baboquivari on the 8th. As for Hayden, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-49 defeat against The Gregory School on the 10th.
