It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Curtis Vikings can now relate to. They fell just short of Kennedy Catholic by a score of 37-34. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Kennedy Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Indiana Jones led the charge by rushing for 94 yards and three touchdowns. Jones has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Mason Moriarty, who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Kennedy Catholic's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB nine times. Curtis' QB won't forget Madox Meneses anytime soon given Meneses sacked him twice.
Curtis' loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Kennedy Catholic, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Curtis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kennedy Catholic will head out on the road to face off against Lake Stevens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Stevens has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 339 points over their last seven matches.
