The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats lost against the Brownstown Bombers back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brownstown.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ruby Stuckemeyer, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds and three steals, and Macee Rodman who scored 16 points. Rodman hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games.
Brownstown found their leader in underclassman Danika Ramsey, who scored 31 points. That's the first time this season that Ramsey scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Seabaugh, who scored 11 points.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Brownstown, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg is ranked 309th, while Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City is ranked 298th). As for Brownstown, they will take on St. Anthony at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Anthony is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
