The Centennial Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Shadow Ridge Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shadow Ridge took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Centennial, who comes in off a win.
Centennial is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They skirted past Liberty 7-5.

The team relied heavily on Amelia Carlson, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elise Hanseen, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Centennial hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Shadow Ridge faced Arbor View in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Mustangs came up short against the Aggies, falling 12-1. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.
Shadow Ridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Breanna Nielsen, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.
Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-20 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Shadow Ridge, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 18-7 record.
Everything went Centennial's way against Shadow Ridge when the teams last played back in April, as Centennial made off with a 12-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
