This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between East Greenwich (7th in the power rankings) and Mt. Hope (11th). East Greenwich finished its game with a 17 - 6 win. One of the main ringleaders for it was junior Conrad Swanson, who earned one touchdown and 105 yards rushing the ball.
Game of Inches
The title of the most exciting match of the week goes to the clash between Cumberland and Moses Brown. Cumberland battled it out with Moses Brown for a well-earned 15 - 14 overtime win. The victory boosted Cumberland a satisfying four spots in the power rankings.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Woonsocket (6th in the power rankings) and Westerly (2nd). The teams have their eyes fixed on the championship after last-week playoff conquests. Westerly and Woonsocket can't both win again this week, so we'll learn on Saturday which team falters and which extends its success.
