The Northeast Eagles fell victim to the Clarksville Wildcats''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 58-0 defeat at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, Northeast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while Clarksville is ranked 56th).
Phoenix Love threw for 75 yards on four of nine attempts. Jonas Veasey was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards. On the ground, Shermarion Hudson rushed for 74 yards on only seven carries.
Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Clarksville, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Clarksville has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Germantown at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
