Kennedy and St. Patrick-St. Vincent are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2018, but not for long. The Eagles will take on the Bruins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Kennedy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Hercules by a score of 30-20 on Friday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Larry Caldwell was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 275 yards. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 66 yards.
Meanwhile, St. Patrick-St. Vincent never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Richmond 62-0. The game marked the Bruins' most dominant victory of the season.
Kennedy better keep an eye on Dylan Santos. He was instrumental in St. Patrick-St. Vincent's win, rushing for 136 yards and three TDs. Amelio Vigil was in the mix as well, providing the Bruins with two scores.
Special teams played a big role in the game for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, adding 20 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Vigil, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
One reason for the win was St. Patrick-St. Vincent's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jaeden Burgstaller-Woody, Noah Soto, and Ethan Santos, who each picked up one sack apiece. Tyree Johnson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Kennedy picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-4-1. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Kennedy couldn't quite finish off St. Patrick-St. Vincent in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 and fell 21-18. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
