4A Region II District 13 recap September 4, 2013
McKinney North scaled the state rankings by moving to 299 from 339 this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region II District 13. The Bulldogs climbed the ranks as a result of topping Newman Smith 34-17.
Lovejoy took down Heritage 62-42 last week, the largest margin of any game. Bowman Sells threw for 318 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 55 yards in the win.
The Leopards' dynamic duo of Sells and Justice Luce proved tough for the Coyotes to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dan Sefcik helped Lovejoy's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 60 yards.

Jones was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 214 yards on 23 carries as Mike Fecci's team topped Che Hendrix's team. Teammate Ben Dutze added to the ground attack by rushing for 24 yards.
Sells put up the best numbers through the air as the Leopards beat the Coyotes. Sells' favorite target this week was Luce, who caught 5 passes for 94 yards.
Luce was the best wideout in the league this week as Lovejoy topped Heritage.
The Leopards' Sells and Luce have formed a dream team this season, leading 4A Region II District 13 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Sells has thrown for 318 yards this season, while Luce has 5 catches for 94 yards. The Bulldogs' Jones leads the league in rushing yards with 214.
