Columbia City entered their tilt with Crown Point on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 63-52 win over the Crown Point Bulldogs. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 97th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Crown Point still got an impressive performance from Ava Richie, who went 9 for 20 on her way to 21 points in addition to six boards and five assists. Richie is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Ava Punak was another key player, putting up ten points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.

Columbia City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Crown Point, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.
