Valiant Cross Academy found their leader in underclassman Deshawn Hall, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was John Cosby, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Evangel Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Owen Bugnar. Despite the final result, he scored 37 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bugnar has scored all season. Paul Dixon was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Valiant Cross Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Evangel Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 15-3.
