The Ridgeland-Hardeeville Jaguars were the 63-58 winner over the Battery Creek Dolphins when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. Ridgeland-Hardeeville received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 68-52 to Battery Creek. Ridgeland-Hardeeville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Poncie Capers, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jabien Harris, who scored 14 points.
Battery Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan White out in front who scored 12 points along with 8 steals. White continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Cox, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds.
Ridgeland-Hardeeville's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-3. As for Battery Creek, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeland-Hardeeville will challenge May River at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Battery Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Whale Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
