The Parkland Matadors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Bel Air at home and fell 63-28. Parkland has struggled against Bel Air recently, as their contest on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Parkland's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Rachael Silva, who scored 13 points, and Mia Arambula who scored four points.
Parkland has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Bel Air, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with that win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkland the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Hanks at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Hanks is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games. As for Bel Air, they will be playing at home against Horizon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Horizon comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
