Montrose won the last time they faced Forest City and things went their way on Friday too. The Meteors put the hurt on the Foresters with a sharp 15-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Meteors, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Hudson Aukema made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Montrose: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise.
