Cerritos is a perfect 10-0 against Glenn since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The two teams, after both having extra time off, will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cerritos has four straight victories, Glenn has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Cerritos barely beat Pioneer the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dons put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 16-2 win last Thursday. Considering the Dons have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jade Hernandez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ava Ceron was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Daphne Linsangan was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Cerritos was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Glenn came up short against Oxford Academy last Thursday and fell 21-16.
Glenn's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Cerritos, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Cerritos got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Glenn by a conclusive 8-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
