The Port Jervis Raiders lost against the Monticello Panthers back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Port Jervis was beaten by Monticello 81-53. Even though they lost, Port Jervis' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 51 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the loss, Port Jervis still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Boucher, who scored 24 points along with four steals.
Port Jervis' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Monticello, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port Jervis will take on Delaware Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Monticello, they will head out on the road to face off against Goshen Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
