WARREN, Mich. -
Dakota (Macomb, Mich.) extended its winning streak to six games with a 21-6 victory over
Cousino (Warren, Mich.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown catch by
Mustafa Abdur-rahman in the first quarter, the Cougars were up 14-6 at the half.
Dakota expanded its lead to 15 points entering the fourth quarter. DHS's lone score in the quarter came on a
Zachury Flack touchdown run.
Cousino's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run in the second quarter.
The Macomb school went into the matchup giving up only 3.2 points per game. Cousino's six points were well below their season average of 27.6 per game.
A 56-21 Dakota victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss was the fourth in a row for Cousino.
