Mt. Enterprise has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the New Summerfield Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mt. Enterprise focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Tuesday.
Even though Mt. Enterprise has not done well against Carlisle recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Mt. Enterprise strolled past Carlisle with points to spare, taking the game 57-42.
Mt. Enterprise's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Maples, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Maples scored 15 or more points. Kaegan Ash was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, New Summerfield's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 98-20 loss at the hands of Alto. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat New Summerfield has suffered yet this season.
Mt. Enterprise's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9. As for New Summerfield, their loss dropped their record down to 4-21.
Everything came up roses for Mt. Enterprise against New Summerfield when the teams last played on January 2nd as the team secured a 69-22 win. With Mt. Enterprise ahead 40-15 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
