Jack Diemert Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Quaker Valley had to settle for second even though Jack Diemert put up the best numbers he has all season. Diemert rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 66 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Quaker Valley dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Diemert and Quaker Valley will face off against McGuffey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Central Valley Wins Third-Straight Thanks to T. Mason Dixon
Central Valley picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to T. Mason Dixon. Nobody could stop Dixon as he picked up a sack and made ten total tackles. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Central Valley is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.
On the year, Dixon has averaged 9.6 total tackles per game and for the season has those 1 sack. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 63.22 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 105.11 rushing yards.

Qualan Cain Makes It Two for Beaver
Another Beaver player making an appearance on this list is Qualan Cain. He rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also picked up 30 receiving yards. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Quaker Valley, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Cain. Cain rushed for 136 yards on only 13 carries the last time he and the Quakers duked it out back in October of 2023.
