The Northeast Lauderdale Trojans will head out on the road to take on the West Lauderdale Knights at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Northeast Lauderdale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday.
Even though Northeast Lauderdale has not done well against the Knights recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Northeast Lauderdale walked away with a 64-57 victory over the Knights. 64 seems to be a good number for Northeast Lauderdale as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northeast Lauderdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremiah Clark, who scored 14 points along with four steals. Clark hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games. Another player making a difference was Addison Baskin, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Northeast Lauderdale's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for West Lauderdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-5.
Northeast Lauderdale was able to grind out a solid win over the Knights in their previous matchup on Thursday, winning 64-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northeast Lauderdale since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
