The Lake City Panthers's 19-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Manning an easy 76-50 victory. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lake City in their matchups with Manning: they've now lost three in a row.
Bryson Rose and Blayne Edwards certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Rose scored 23 points along with five rebounds, while Edwards scored 13 points along with nine rebounds. The matchup was Rose's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Erique Wilson, who scored four points.
Jeffrey Ceasar continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Manning, scoring 27 points along with five assists and five steals. Ceasar hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Tavion Carter was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 19 rebounds.
Lake City has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Manning, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
