Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Jacksonville Golden Eagles, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell to the Wildcats 59-54. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Jacksonville came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while White Plains is ranked 126th).
Despite the loss, Jacksonville still got an impressive performance from Devin Barksdale, who scored 32 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barksdale has scored all season. KyDric Fisher was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
Jacksonville's defeat dropped their record down to 24-8. As for White Plains, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season.
Jacksonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. White Plains also has no future games currently scheduled.
