The Weehawken Indians suffered their biggest loss since January 3rd on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 42-21 loss at the hands of Lyndhurst. Weehawken has not had much luck with Lyndhurst recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Lyndhurst was led to victory by Asya Akar and Brooke Harper. Akar scored 15 points, while Harper dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Harper is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. Sam Mayer was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Weehawken's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Lyndhurst, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Weehawken will head out on the road to square off against Dickinson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dickinson is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Lyndhurst will take on Fort Lee at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Lee will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Lyndhurst is ranked 120th).
