Whitewright was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Tom Bean Tomcats, falling 10-0. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Whitewright saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clayton Jones, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Whitewright now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Tom Bean, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Whitewright will square off against rival Honey Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tom Bean is set to take on their familiar foe Tioga at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
