Black Hills had won eight straight home games  dating back to last season and  Tyler Venable did her part to make it nine on Tuesday. The Black Hills Wolves came out on top against the Hoquiam Grizzlies by a score of  70-59  thanks in part to  Venable, who  went 12 of 22  on her way to 30  points along with five  assists and five  steals. The dominant performance gave  her a new career-high in points.
 The team also got some help courtesy of  Kiley McMahon, who  posted 13 points in addition to eight  assists and six  steals. McMahon is  crushing it when it comes to  steals: she's   grabbed at least two every time she's  taken the court this season.
Black Hills' victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Hoquiam, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
 Black Hills will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Onalaska at 2:00  p.m.  on December 28th. Hoquiam and Centralia will compete for holiday cheer  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
