The Euclid Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Gilmour Academy with points to spare, taking the game 66-51. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Euclid has managed all season.
Thai Duncan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points. The match was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Myckel Davis, who scored 12 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Euclid and bumps their season record up to 2-6. As for Gilmour Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Euclid will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mentor at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Gilmour Academy will finish 2023 at home by hosting Elyria Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on December 30th. Elyria Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 375th, while Gilmour Academy is ranked 84th).
