On Monday, Shadow Ridge faced Faith Lutheran in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Shadow Ridge walked away with a 54-43 win over Faith Lutheran. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Shadow Ridge.
Shadow Ridge found their leader in underclassman Jaslyn Jefferson, who scored 25 points. Another player making a difference was Zh'mya Martin, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Desert Pines can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Clark 67-29 at home. Given Desert Pines' advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Clark is ranked 41st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Shadow Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Desert Pines, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home.
