The Tri-State Christian Crusaders had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They strolled past The Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 59-45. Given Tri-State Christian's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 63rd in Maryland, while The Christian Academy is ranked 420th in Pennsylvania), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tri-State Christian was led to victory by Jeremiah Falko and Sam Falko. Falko scored 16 points along with nine assists and seven rebounds, while Falko scored 24 points. Falko hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Swort, who scored eight points.
Tri-State Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for The Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Tri-State Christian and Avon Grove Charter will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Avon Grove Charter is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for The Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Calvary Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
