Basketball Recap: C.A. Johnson Piles Up the Points Against Lee Central

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask C.A. Johnson). They breezed past the Lee Central Stallions to the tune of 101-59 on Friday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-20.

Sinatra Rembert and Wyatt Halley certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Rembert almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds, while Halley dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Rembert is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Nasir Jackson also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first rebound of the season.

C.A. Johnson now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lee Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coming up, C.A. Johnson will face off against Camden at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets' defense better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 74.5 points per game this season. As for Lee Central, they will take on Andrew Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Stallions will need to watch out since the Volunteers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
