After a string of five wins, Trillium Academy's's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. The game between Trillium Academy and Richard wasn't particularly close, with Trillium Academy falling 73-55. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Trillium Academy has scored all season.
Several Trillium Academy players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keymarryon Fishburn, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Sharone Russ, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Trillium Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Richard, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trillium Academy will challenge Advanced Tech Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Advanced Tech Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while Trillium Academy is ranked 76th). Richard will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lutheran North at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
