Palos Verdes Peninsula moved up to 364 from 445 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Bay. The Panthers climbed the ranks as a result of topping North 51-0.
Palos Verdes Peninsula took down the Saxons 51-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ian Escutia threw for 185 yards and ran for 16 yards in the win.
Andrew Phillips was the best wideout in the league this week as Michael Christensen's team topped North. Phillips tallied 3 receptions for 66 yards. Rory Hubbard helped Palos Verdes Peninsula's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 60 yards.
Escutia was a passing and rushing force as the Panthers beat Todd Croce's team.
Harrison FEACHER threw for 190 yards and 2 touchdowns. He went 20-29 with 2 interceptions.
FEACHER put up the best numbers through the air as Redondo Union lost to Santa Monica. FEACHER's favorite target this week was Joe Ramos, who caught 4 passes for 57 yards.
Mike Joncich was a key player and the best on defense this week as Palos Verdes Peninsula bested the Saxons. He recorded 2 fumbles.
Ryan Augello was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 75 yards as the Panthers beat North. Teammate Hubbard added to the ground attack by rushing for 46 yards.
Palos Verdes Peninsula made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,722 from 6,190. The improvement was the result of 51-0 victory over the Saxons last week.
